Its been a While.

We were blessed with a visit from Katies parents a week ago. It was sure great to see them and I know how past due it was for my wife. We spent a long weekend with them at Birch Run.. It was a great time to catch up and talk about what is going on in our lives that is seperated by 600 miles. Katie is finally just waiting for her response form the Board of Cosmotology in Michigan... And I am working as much as I can. God has been blessing us and I am so excited to see what he continues to do... Its been so awesome to get to work with Katie and explain business things to her. She is very interested in and excited about RuggedEdge. We love getting to work together.. It was great having her along to even do some of the manual work.. Although I do not expect her to be out there with me all the time... I have just really been meditating on Phillipians 4:19....."And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ jesus.... I pray that those of you that read this will find your wealth and security in Christ!!! Loving the Madness....

This is how we do it!

Katie and I were married on July 29th of 2010, at my aunt and uncles beautiful home on the western slope of Colorado after a short engagement. I was working for a school district in Rifle, Colorado. Hard manual labor has always been something I enjoyed. After we married we honeymooned in Vail for a long weekend. Afterwards we took care of my aunt and uncles home while they traveled to a family reunion. During that time we were in desperate search to find our own living quarters before my aunt and uncle were to return. But as the search went on we found it very difficult to find something to fit in our budget. It was a sunday afternoon and Katie and I were growing very discouraged because we were figuring on having to move into a 1 bedroom apartment. Not that it was bad but the price and the distance from work was almost unbearable. Anyways, that sunday afternoon we were in the grocery store getting some things for lunch and we ran into some of my aunt and uncles friends, and now our friends, who owned a ranch pad that was empty and they didnt want it to sit through the winter. After talking it over with them they offered us a deal we couldn't refuse... WHAT A HUGE BLESSING....
We lived in a 3 bedroom 3.5 bath log home on 80 acres with breath taking views. In other words Katie and I had a 6 month honeymoon in Colorado that we couldnt have even drempt up. Many people are wondering why in the world we would give something like that up and move to Michigan where it seems nothing is taking place. Well that reason is simple, education, and people. You see I went to school for a few years then stopped because I was going without a purpose and after hours of prayer together Katie and I made the decision that God wanted us here. Like I said the first reason for moving back was schooling for me. Second reason being family and friends. My best friend being a huge factor in that. My Best Friend Loren is a quadrapaliegic. He was in a diving accident on the North Shore of hawaii just a little over 5 years ago. Loren over time has become part of the Lutz family and most of all my and Katie's family. He is one of the coolest and most Godly guys I have met. Loren over the past few months has been bed riddin for most of the time due to nerve pain that is unbearable and the Doctors are having a really hard time trying to figure out why. After numerous trips to University Hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan, they are still at a stand still. Loren is taking it a day at a time. If you ever get to meet him you will understand what an amazing guy he is. So, here we are in Michigan staying with my parents who have been an absolute blessing to us. I know... I know... a married woman never wants to live in her in-laws house. Praise be to God that even though Katie and I are excited to get into our own place, in the mean time we are here and Katie and my Mom have a great relationship that continues to grow. Which is another huge blessing to me... It is also great to see Katie develop relationships with my parents and siblings and to just see how well she fits in my family. Right now we are taking it a day at a time chasing God, loving eachother and serving people in any way. Which is one of the reasons I started my own business called RuggedEdge Services.
I started this because I love helping people and so does Katie and we pray that God will allow us to bless so many with what we can offer.  I hope that in the post to come you will see what God is doing in our lives and help give you some insight to where we are and whats going on...
